On February 20, 2025, the Faculty of Education in Osijek held the third English Day for 3rd and 4th-grade elementary school students. The event was organised by the Department of English and German Studies.
Students from the 2nd, 4th, and 5th years of the University’s integrated undergraduate and graduate Class Teacher studies – Module C (Miriam Bahora, Tamara Dakić, Elena Dušak, Daria Ergotić, Ana Komlenić, Josipa Kovač, Estera Kovač, Patricia Kvastek, Josipa Kuterovac, Dunja Kreidl, Dora Markulić, Petra Mandić, Magdalena Matković, Karla Nađ, Dora Prusina, Dorotea Suhi, Lorena Tomac, and Ranka Vukajlija) – organised seven workshops in English for 47 students.
The event kicked off with a multimedia workshop led by Mary Dimitrov, a Fulbright scholar and English language assistant. She introduced our guests to Farmland Elementary School (Maryland, USA) and spent the rest of the day chatting with students in English on a variety of topics.
A big thank you to the English language teachers and their enthusiastic young English speakers who joined us from Elementary School Cvjetno, Elementary School Dobriša Cesarić, Elementary School Ivan Filipović, Elementary School Jagoda Truhelka, Elementary School Laslovo, Elementary School Mladost, Elementary School Vladimir Nazor Čepin and Elementary School Vladimir Nazor Đakovo.
