We are English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students writing for fellow EFL students. After years of writing, we realized it was a shame for it all to end up in a drawer. So, we’ve decided to share our work in hopes to help someone (or at least each other) learn English. Or to simply offer some leisure reading!
Our goal and vision
Englishing aims to become an established resource for anyone and everyone looking to improve their English.
Our goal is to advance our writing skills while producing interesting and educational material for both English teachers and learners. Our diverse content is created and edited by our university students, and includes useful academic journal articles, templates and ideas for class plans, book reviews, and cultural insight into Osijek and Croatia.
Englishing shares your perspective, whether it’s through short stories and creative writing, or academic class work.
Why You Should Write for Englishing
Englishing publishes and promotes student writing. Here is why you should consider sharing your work with us:
- Share your Story
- Our diverse range of offered material welcomes both the artistic and the academic writer. We encourage our contributors to be creative and write articles that represent themselves. This is your chance to share your unique perspective through creative writing or offering pedagogy insight!
- Promote Yourself
- Because Englishing is publicly accessible, our website offers an opportunity to present yourself to the professional community while still in university.
- Improve your English
- We only accept articles written in English. As such, this requires our writers to better their language skills in order to publish their work. All articles are proof-read by fellow students, English teaching assistants, and professors, to ensure your work is as refined as possible!
